We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Enginee r with strong expertise in database development and database administration. The ideal candidate will have 7–10 years of hands-on experience in SQL development, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Services, ETL processes, data warehousing, and database performance tuning.

This role requires a strong ownership mindset, the ability to manage enterprise databases, build scalable data pipelines, and ensure optimal database reliability, availability, and performance.

Data Development & Engineering

Design and develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers .

Analyze and understand business logic embedded in stored procedures and assist in rewriting or optimizing them for better performance and maintainability.

Design, build, and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and other Azure services.

Develop data integration workflows across on-premises and cloud environments.

Create optimized data models (OLTP and OLAP) to support transactional systems and analytics.

Implement and manage ETL processes , including data transformation, cleansing, and validation rules.

Apply strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts (Star/Snowflake schema, fact and dimension tables) .

Implement data quality checks and ensure data consistency across systems.

Collaborate with application and analytics teams for schema design, performance tuning, and reporting needs.

Use version control tools such as Git and support CI/CD practices for data pipelines.

Install, configure, and maintain enterprise database platforms.

Manage and support Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Synapse environments.

Monitor database performance and conduct detailed performance tuning and execution plan analysis .

Troubleshoot complex query and database issues.

Perform regular database health checks and capacity planning.

Apply patches, upgrades, and routine maintenance activities.

Ensure database reliability, high availability, and compliance with performance SLAs.

7–10 years of experience in Data Engineering and Database Administration.

Strong proficiency in SQL (complex queries, stored procedures, functions, performance tuning).

Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory .

Hands-on experience with Azure Data Services , including: Azure Data Lake Azure SQL Database Azure Synapse

Strong understanding of ETL processes .

Solid knowledge of data warehousing concepts (Star/Snowflake schema, fact/dimension tables) .

Experience in database performance tuning and execution plan analysis .

Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines for data workflows.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Strong communication and documentation skills.

Ownership mindset and proactive approach to issue resolution.

Power BI (Intermediate to Advanced level)

Experience supporting enterprise analytics and reporting environments

Exposure to hybrid (on-premises + cloud) data ecosystems
